VAT & Export Information
At LG Cars ApS, we facilitate vehicle sales and leasing for both domestic and international clients. Please review our standard terms regarding VAT and export procedures below.
1. Domestic Sales (Denmark)
All prices displayed on our website for the Danish market include the standard Danish VAT (25% Moms) unless otherwise explicitly stated (e.g., for specific commercial vehicles or “margin scheme” used cars).
- Registration Tax: For vehicles sold with Danish license plates, the Danish registration tax (Registreringsafgift) is included in the final price.
2. Export of Vehicles (EU & Non-EU)
We offer the option to purchase vehicles for export.
- Net Price (Excl. VAT): For VAT-registered businesses within the EU (with a valid VAT number) or for any buyer outside the EU, vehicles may be purchased at the net price (excluding Danish VAT), provided that valid proof of transport out of Denmark is supplied.
- Tax Refunds: On many Danish-registered vehicles, a portion of the registration tax can be refunded by the Danish Tax Authorities (Motorstyrelsen) upon export. We can assist in calculating and applying for this refund.
3. Intra-Community Supply (EU Business)
To purchase a vehicle VAT-free for an EU-based company, the following must be provided:
- Valid VAT Number: Verified via the VIES system.
- ID/Passport: A copy of the owner’s or authorized representative’s identification.
- CMR/Transport Documentation: Signed documentation proving the vehicle has reached its destination country.
4. Disclaimer
LG Cars ApS reserves the right to collect the VAT amount as a security deposit until the required export documentation (CMR, entry certificate, or proof of registration in the destination country) has been received and verified. Once verified, the deposit will be refunded immediately.
Important: Local import taxes, customs duties, and registration fees in the country of destination are the sole responsibility of the buyer. LG Cars ApS cannot be held liable for changes in international tax laws or local registration requirements.
Vehicle Condition & Warranty Notice
Vehicles are generally sold as used vehicles and may show normal signs of wear consistent with age and mileage.
Unless explicitly stated in writing, vehicles are sold without warranty, in accordance with Danish law.
Any additional warranty or guarantee is only valid if expressly agreed in writing.
Reservation & Payment Policy
Vehicle reservations are confirmed only after receipt of a deposit or full payment.
Until payment is received, vehicles remain available for sale.
Payments must be made from an account held in the buyer’s name, in line with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.

In accordance with the Danish Data Protection Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), LG Cars ApS follows strict protocols for handling personal information:
- Data Collection: Information is only collected for specific purposes: responding to vehicle inquiries, processing sales contracts, and meeting legal requirements for anti-money laundering (AML).
- Storage & Security: Personal data (such as passport copies for registration) is stored securely and only accessible to authorized personnel.
- Your Rights: Customers have the right to request access to their data, correct inaccuracies, or request deletion (provided the data is no longer required for legal tax/accounting purposes).

As a registered Danish entity (ApS – Anpartsselskab), the company operates under the supervision of Danish authorities:
- CVR Registration: LG Cars ApS is registered in the Central Business Register (CVR), which ensures it is a verified legal entity subject to Danish corporate law.
- Financial Transparency: The company is required to submit annual audited reports to the Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen), ensuring financial accountability.
- The Danish Sales of Goods Act (Købeloven): All sales to private consumers in Denmark are governed by this act, providing a 24-month right of complaint for defects that existed at the time of delivery.

Trust in the automotive trade is based on the physical state and history of the vehicle. Compliance measures include:
- Mileage Verification: Rigorous checks against the Danish Motor Register (Motorregistret) to ensure the odometer has not been tampered with.
- Inspection Standards: Vehicles sold for the Danish market must meet Syn (Periodic Technical Inspection) requirements.
- Customs & Export Compliance: For cross-border sales, the company ensures all Skat (Danish Tax Agency) procedures are followed, including the correct handling of Registreringsafgift (Registration Tax) refunds and export declarations.

Are the vehicles legally compliant?
Yes. All vehicles are sold with valid documentation, clear ownership, and verifiable VIN numbers, in compliance with Danish and EU regulations.
How does VAT work for EU exports?
For EU exports from Denmark (LG Cars ApS), VAT depends on whether the buyer is a business or a private individual and if the car is “VAT-deductible.”

Do you offer warranty?
Unless explicitly agreed in writing, vehicles are sold without warranty, in accordance with Danish law for used vehicles.
